Dr. Angie Hong

Angie has been a family doctor for over 20 years. In addition to her work as a family doctor, Angie is an expert in Obesity Medicine, focusing on both the mind and body aspects of this disease. With this, she has had the privilege to teach coaches and health care providers throughout North America at various schools and organizations including Obesity Canada, CBT Canada, University of Alberta, the University of Toronto among others. 

In her role as one of the first family physicians in Ontario to attain board certification in Obesity Medicine, Angie broke many barriers to establish programs throughout her community to provide access to publicly funded comprehensive care for patients. 

Angie is a graduate of the University of Toronto Brief Coaching Program, Angie has discovered the power of skilled coaching to empower change. She is passionate about bringing coaching to her colleagues who have devoted their lives to caring for others and deserve to consider their own growth and passions, both personally and professionally. 

Angie lives in Toronto with her husband, three teenage daughters, and her dog Hugo. Her downtime is spent with family, friends. However, she can usually be found taking another course to increase her skills and knowledge. 

Angie’s passion for life-long learning is driven by her commitment to provide the highest level of care and service to her patients and clients.
